Bayana Fort, also known as Bijaigarh or Vijaygarh, located in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district, is a historical marvel with a legacy spanning over 2000 years. This is just 13 km from Bandh Baretha. Established by the Jadon Rajput ruler Vijaypala in AD 1040, the fort has witnessed the rise and fall of various dynasties, including the Guptas, Gurjar Pratiharas, Mughals, and Bharatpur rulers. Significant structures like the Usha Mosque, reflecting medieval Islamic influence, the mythologically rich Usha Temple, and the impressive Lodhi Minar, all highlight Bayana's cultural synthesis and architectural grandeur. The Bhimalat (Vijay Pillar), constructed in 371, further enriches its historical narrative with inscriptions detailing ancient religious practices.
